Match the attachment and installation method
Colored rubber grommets provide a custom cable-entry interface with a visible color choice. The molded shape can match the housing opening, while the color can coordinate with the product or distinguish locations. The mechanical profile remains specific to the panel and cable arrangement.
If color identifies an entry, keep that association consistent through assembly and servicing. Similar colors should not be used as the only basis for choosing a replacement, because the bore or retaining groove may differ between parts. The selected silicone compound also needs to suit the actual environment independently of its appearance.
Fit the grommet to a clean, smooth opening and inspect the perimeter for folded edges. Route the cable and secure its supports before checking the final seating. The visible color should remain associated with the intended route after the enclosure is closed. Clean the exposed surface gently during maintenance and inspect the rubber if wiring changes disturb the entry. Replace damaged parts with the matching dimensions and compound as well as the required color.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The molded shape can match the housing opening, while the color can coordinate with the product or distinguish locations. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
