Product Overview

A custom silicone inflatable rubber bladder should be developed as a component of its intended medical equipment arrangement. The size, shape and connection regions need to suit the surrounding structure and inflation system. Select the finished formulation for the actual contact and processing conditions of that application.

Consider both the uninflated and working shapes. The bladder needs room to expand without being trapped at a seam, bracket or other local obstruction. Its connection should remain clear as the body changes shape rather than being pulled sideways or folded shut.

Evaluate the complete inflation arrangement with the intended controls, fittings and supporting enclosure. Working pressure, displacement and clinical suitability must be established for that complete system; they should not be inferred from the material or loose bladder dimensions. Check deflation as well as inflation so the component returns to a suitable position for the next cycle.

Handle the flexible body away from sharp tools and inspect it before assembly. Look at repeatedly folded regions and the transitions around connections for damage or persistent distortion. Any cleaning or preparation method needs to be compatible with the finished component. If its shape or response changes, inspect the surrounding support and air path before continuing to operate the system or replacing the bladder without addressing the cause.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Working pressure, displacement and clinical suitability must be established for that complete system; they should not be inferred from the material or loose bladder dimensions.
Custom dimensions
The size, shape and connection regions need to suit the surrounding structure and inflation system.
Fit & assembly
Check deflation as well as inflation so the component returns to a suitable position for the next cycle.
Use & inspection
If its shape or response changes, inspect the surrounding support and air path before continuing to operate the system or replacing the bladder without addressing the cause.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
