Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber hole plug should be selected by its mating profile and application conditions. NBR, EPDM, and silicone are different material options, so a similar molded outline does not make them interchangeable. A low-price description also does not establish the cost or configuration of the part required for a particular opening.
Identify the hole dimensions, wall thickness, available depth, and any retention feature. Check whether the plug enters a bore or covers an outside rim, since those arrangements use different mating measurements. The selected formulation should suit the actual fluid, temperature, and cleaning exposure separately from these dimensions.
Evaluate retention and any required seal in the complete joint. During reuse, examine the inserted area for damage or lasting deformation rather than checking only the visible head. A replacement chosen solely because it resembles the original may differ in material or working profile. Address a rough opening or an unsuitable contact geometry before replacement, since changing the rubber family alone will not correct those mechanical conditions.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A rubber hole plug should be selected by its mating profile and application conditions. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
