Butyl rubber plugs for medical applications can be custom molded for a specified receiving feature. A threaded or screw-hole arrangement needs the correct thread relationship and seating surface as well as the selected compound. The closure should be developed as part of the complete product in which it will serve.
Establish whether the plug closes an equipment access hole or forms part of a container-contact system. These uses can have different requirements for retention, cleanliness, contact compatibility, and processing. A medical description does not establish sterility or suitability for every clinical purpose. The exact compound and finished geometry must correspond to the defined application.
Check the thread form, engagement length, and stopping position so the plug seats without being twisted into an incompatible feature. The intended seal may occur at a separate face rather than along the thread itself. Handle and assemble the component through the cleanliness process established for the finished product, avoiding damage to the rubber. Any cleaning or sterilization method must suit the selected construction. Inspect the closure and receiving feature before use, and preserve the full specified material and geometry during replacement rather than choosing only by a nominal screw-hole size.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A threaded or screw-hole arrangement needs the correct thread relationship and seating surface as well as the selected compound. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
