Rubber vibration-damper feet introduce a resilient layer beneath equipment. Their behavior depends on the equipment mass, the distribution of that mass and the geometry of each foot. ETOL supplies custom dimensions and compounds, with color, logo and hardness choices available for the application.
Start by identifying how the equipment rests on its supports. A heavy component mounted near one side can place more load on nearby feet even when the base looks symmetrical. Selecting every foot from the overall equipment weight alone may overlook that difference. Inspect the loaded height and deformation at each position.
Hardness options range from 30 to 90 Shore A, with operating response evaluated in the intended mounting configuration. Hardness helps describe the rubber; it does not by itself establish how far a finished foot compresses or which operating frequencies it will isolate. Foot height, contact area and mounting compression all contribute.
Check the supported equipment through its normal operating states, including starting and stopping where applicable. Leave room for permitted movement without letting the housing touch a nearby rigid surface. Cables and attached pipes also need suitable routing so they do not restrain the intended movement.
During maintenance, compare the feet for permanent flattening or a change in stance. Replace components according to the mounting design, and reassess the support arrangement if equipment weight or internal layout changes. A dimensional match alone does not prove that a different rubber formulation will behave the same way under load.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Cables and attached pipes also need suitable routing so they do not restrain the intended movement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
