A Buna-N rubber damper with a special shape can fit a mounting space that does not suit a standard round body. The outline should follow the available clearance while preserving the rubber section needed for its intended movement. A narrow portion or projecting feature should not accidentally become the main contact area.
Buna-N identifies an NBR material family, but the selected formulation still needs to suit the fluids, cleaners and temperatures present in the device. The geometry and exposure should be evaluated together rather than treating material selection as independent of the mounting duty.
Orient the part so its locating and attachment features agree with the surrounding structure. Avoid stretching the body to make an approximate fit appear correct. Check the working movement for interference along the irregular outline. During maintenance, compare wear across the profile: a single damaged projection may indicate an unexpected contact path. Replace the component with the intended shape so the mounting arrangement retains its original clearance and support relationship.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The outline should follow the available clearance while preserving the rubber section needed for its intended movement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
