Match the attachment and installation method
The 8mm seal plugs designation is a starting point for selecting this custom molded closure. The complete fit still depends on the body profile, seating depth and the part of the plug represented by that dimension. Establish those relationships against the actual hole before using a nominal size to group replacement components.
EPDM, SBR and silicone versions should be selected according to their finished compound and working conditions. Color options can help distinguish the chosen variants, especially where the upper surfaces look similar once installed. Keep the identification scheme consistent with size and material so a convenient color match does not lead to the wrong closure being fitted.
At assembly, examine the opening for sharp edges and press the plug into its intended seat evenly. Check whether the body has sufficient engagement without extending into another component. For a cap style, assess the external mating surface instead. After removal, inspect the contacting edge before reuse; a small tear or permanent change in shape can affect an otherwise correctly sized part.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The complete fit still depends on the body profile, seating depth and the part of the plug represented by that dimension. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
