Round grommet bushes with metal part options combine a rubber body with a rigid feature in the cable entry. If conductive behavior is required, the intended electrical path must be defined alongside the mechanical fit. The presence of metal alone does not establish a grounding, shielding or contact performance for the complete assembly.
Identify which surfaces the metal feature is intended to meet and which areas the rubber should separate or cushion. Keep the insert located without forcing the molded body into a twisted position. The cable passage and panel seat need their own dimensional checks so electrical contact is not used to compensate for a poor retained fit.
Custom material, shape and dimensions can follow the application. Evaluate the selected construction in the real panel with its actual cable and mating hardware. Inspect the metal boundary for movement as the cable is handled, and check the required electrical behavior under the same assembled condition.
During servicing, avoid scratching a functional contact face or pulling the insert against the surrounding rubber. Replace a part with a loose metal feature or damaged interface using the evaluated configuration. A visually similar all-rubber grommet is not an automatic substitute for a design whose metal feature has a specific role.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The cable passage and panel seat need their own dimensional checks so electrical contact is not used to compensate for a poor retained fit. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
