Product Overview

A small rubber flat grommet lines a panel hole to protect the wire passing through it. The flat exposed profile still needs a retained region that matches the wall and enough supporting area around the opening. The useful cable passage should be checked independently from the outer face.

Leave the flange clear of nearby fasteners or edges that could press it out of its natural position. A small liner can be displaced by a terminal catching the bore, so plan the threading sequence before the wiring is completed. Custom dimensions, compound and color can suit the entry. Fit the rubber without folding its lip beneath the panel, then inspect again after the wire is pulled to its final length. During maintenance, check the side normally hidden by the cable for a nick or lifted section. Replace a damaged part with the correct flat profile and retained dimensions rather than choosing a thicker-looking alternative that interferes with the available surface clearance.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Leave the flange clear of nearby fasteners or edges that could press it out of its natural position.
Custom profile & fit
The flat exposed profile still needs a retained region that matches the wall and enough supporting area around the opening.
Assembly considerations
Fit the rubber without folding its lip beneath the panel, then inspect again after the wire is pulled to its final length.
Design check
The useful cable passage should be checked independently from the outer face.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
