A silicone grommet for machine wiring should be installed at a stage when both its cable passage and retaining features can be inspected. Once a motor, bracket or cover is fitted nearby, access to the rear of the opening may be limited. The assembly sequence should account for that restriction.
Custom dimensions and material options allow the bushing to match the panel and cable. Define whether the cable is threaded through before or after the grommet enters the opening, considering any connector already attached. The chosen sequence should not require the retaining edge to be dragged over a sharp component.
Check the rear lip before the next assembly stage hides it. After the cable route is secured, inspect again for twisting or a section pulled out of its groove. Select the silicone formulation for the machine's heat, fluids and cleaning routine. During service, preserve the intended access path rather than pulling on the cable to free the bushing. If removal leaves a torn retaining edge, review the method and nearby clearances before reinstalling a replacement.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Once a motor, bracket or cover is fitted nearby, access to the rear of the opening may be limited. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
