Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
An EPDM rubber stopper in an 8 mm size configuration needs the relevant diameter matched to the actual opening and plug profile. The exposed head, inserting section, and retaining detail may use different dimensions. Compare those features together so the nominal size is not mistaken for a complete description of the fit.
Check the usable opening depth and the condition of its edge. For an application involving heat, select the EPDM formulation and assess the closure through the actual temperature cycle. The surrounding components may change the available contact as they heat or cool.
Insert the stopper in line with the opening and leave its handling feature accessible. Avoid driving it beyond the intended seat to obtain a tighter feel. Where sealing or pressure retention is required, evaluate the complete connection under the relevant conditions. During removal, inspect the contact band for cuts or persistent deformation and correct any rough opening edge before installing the specified replacement.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. An EPDM rubber stopper in an 8 mm size configuration needs the relevant diameter matched to the actual opening and plug profile. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
