A custom waterproof wiring grommet needs a defined contact around the harness and at the surrounding opening. The NBR formulation and molded profile should be developed using the finished wiring configuration, including any wrapping or local branch that changes the surface presented to the rubber.
Specify the retained groove and passage alongside the panel thickness and operating exposure. Compression molding can produce the selected custom shape, but the process name does not establish an ingress rating. Evaluate the complete entry under the conditions required by the equipment.
During fitting, seat the panel interface before moving the harness into its final supports. Inspect for a lifted flange or a section of wiring caught outside the intended passage. If the harness is revised during servicing, check the resulting contact rather than assuming the former seal is unchanged. Keep replacement material and geometry matched to the designated configuration so the new grommet provides the interface that was evaluated with that harness.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Compression molding can produce the selected custom shape, but the process name does not establish an ingress rating. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
