Custom rubber flat grommets provide a compact interface between a wire harness and its panel opening. An NBR version can be selected where the actual environment suits that formulation. The flat appearance should be developed alongside the retaining groove and center passage so that limited projection does not compromise the intended seat.
Check the space on both sides of the panel. A low visible flange may suit nearby trim or components, but the rear retaining section still needs room to engage. The harness route should leave the rubber seated rather than pulling it sideways to gain clearance. Establish the finished panel thickness and the bundle dimensions at the passage.
Remove burrs and debris from the opening before fitting. Inspect the perimeter after the harness is secured, especially where a flat flange makes partial displacement less obvious. Material selection should include local fluid and cleaning exposure. During replacement, preserve the groove dimensions and bore arrangement as well as the outside profile; a similarly flat part can have a different relationship with the panel edge and wire bundle.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The flat appearance should be developed alongside the retaining groove and center passage so that limited projection does not compromise the intended seat. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
