Product Overview

Silicone rubber suction cups used in industrial handling should be matched to the workpiece as it reaches the pickup position. A freshly cleaned sample may differ from an item carrying process dust, residual moisture or a surface finish applied during production. Those differences belong in the contact assessment.

Compare representative surface conditions across the intended workpieces. Locate the cup away from a seam, opening or abrupt contour that would cross its lip. If the surface changes between product versions, check the new contact area rather than retaining a cup solely because the workpiece has the same overall dimensions.

The selected silicone formulation must suit substances present at pickup and the temperature there. Cleaning the cup should also preserve the workpiece finish. Determine an appropriate maintenance interval from the actual buildup and handling routine instead of waiting until visible debris fills the lip.

Evaluate pickup and release with the operating vacuum arrangement. After cleaning or replacement, check the first contact in the fixture to ensure the cup has returned to its intended position. Keep the replacement profile and material identified together so maintenance does not introduce a different contact behavior into an unchanged machine setup.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. Choose the compound and hardness against the developed contact profile, then compare behavior in the intended machine setup.
Custom geometry
Locate the cup away from a seam, opening or abrupt contour that would cross its lip.
Fit evaluation
Compare representative surface conditions across the intended workpieces.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM markings outside the suction contact face.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly

04

Produce & inspect

Manufacture and check against the approved requirements

Review the intended assembly

Working conditions

Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.

Material and structure

Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.

Installation

Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
