A rubber bumper for chair applications adds a flexible contact where the chair needs protection from a hard surface or another component. Its position should reflect whether it acts as a resting foot or an occasional contact stop. Those roles create different loads and should not be treated as interchangeable merely because the molded parts look similar.
For a resting contact, assess the complete set and the chair's base geometry. A bumper fitted at a moving contact point instead needs clearance through the chair's relevant motion so that it meets the intended surface without catching an edge. The attachment arrangement should retain the piece under those specific conditions.
Inspect the assembled chair for stable resting and unobstructed movement as applicable. Keep contact faces clear of abrasive debris and check for a loose fixing or shifted pad after relocation. If a replacement changes a support height, review the whole chair rather than assuming that a secure individual fit preserves the original balance.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
