Automobile silicone buttons need a layout and receiving geometry defined for the specific vehicle control. Remote-control keypads may use a similar material, but their housing, board and operating environment can differ. A shared material category does not establish interchangeability between the two arrangements.

The visible keys should remain individually operable while their underside features register with the intended inputs. The selected formulation must also suit the actual temperature and cleaning exposure at the installation point.
