A custom RJ45 usb ports cover can close unused connector openings on an electronic device. Its structure, material, dimensions, hardness, and color can be adapted to the housing. RJ45 and USB interfaces have different shapes, so each covered position needs its own matching geometry within the design.
Check the ports as they sit in the complete enclosure. A recessed connector requires clearance for the surrounding wall, while closely spaced interfaces may limit the room available for a gripping area. The cover should remain removable without placing force on delicate parts inside the connector.
Define which openings will be closed in normal use and which need frequent access. The cover's fitting path should suit that pattern, leaving neighboring cables and controls unobstructed. Test installation and removal on the actual device before finalizing the profile.
Keep the contact portions clean before inserting the cover. Remove surface dust from the surrounding housing so that it is not pushed toward the port during fitting. A fitted cover does not establish an enclosure protection rating by itself; the complete device design determines the intended protection.
