A round rubber gasket follows a circular contact path, while an oval configuration needs dimensions in both its long and short directions. Choose the actual outline required by the mating parts rather than stretching a circular ring to resemble an elongated opening.
The gasket can be cut or molded around the required shape and section. Select the compound according to the joint exposure, and include the available sealing width at curved ends as well as along straighter areas. An outline that matches the opening visually may still leave insufficient support beneath part of the rubber.
Lay the gasket on its intended face in a relaxed condition before assembling the joint. Check that its edges remain within the sealing land and that no section has been pulled narrower to reach a corner or end. After disassembly, inspect the contact imprint across the perimeter. Differences between the ends and sides can help identify a geometry or seating issue before a replacement is fitted to the same joint.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. An outline that matches the opening visually may still leave insufficient support beneath part of the rubber. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
