Product Overview

Round rubber gaskets need an inner opening that clears the intended passage and an outer boundary that remains supported by the joint. Increasing the ring width may add rubber without adding useful sealing contact if the mating surfaces do not support it. Custom dimensions allow those boundaries to follow the actual assembly.

For a food related seal, choose the material formulation for the contents and cleaning conditions. Check whether the gasket could project into the flow or storage area after compression. The joint should close without pushing an unsupported edge inward or trapping it outside the intended seat.

Evaluate representative components together, including normal dimensional variation. A ring that appears centered before closing may shift when one mating surface turns against it. Keep the surfaces clean and use the intended closure sequence. During inspection, compare the compressed contact pattern with the available sealing land. A very narrow or uneven imprint can be more informative than the gasket's overall diameter when identifying why the fit needs adjustment.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
