Rubber bulbs hand pumps use a flexible bulb that changes volume when squeezed and recovers when released. The bulb forms one part of the pumping arrangement; the connected fittings and any valves determine how air or another specified medium moves through the complete system.
Choose the bulb around both hand operation and the connection geometry. Its size and shape should allow the intended squeeze without requiring the user to pull sideways on a fitting. The wall behavior and hardness affect the feel of compression and recovery, so evaluate them on the assembled pump rather than only by pressing an unconnected bulb.
ETOL customizes dimensions, material, hardness, color and branding. Select the rubber compound for the actual medium and cleaning exposure. Identify the required connections and flow direction before assembly so the flexible body is not used to compensate for incompatible fittings.
During a trial, secure the connections as intended and observe several complete squeeze-and-release cycles. Check that the bulb can recover without being restrained by the surrounding enclosure or a user's grip on the connection neck. Evaluate the system's intended pumping function without assuming a particular pressure or vacuum from the bulb size alone.
Inspect the neck areas and body for cracking or permanent collapse during maintenance. Release connections using their appropriate fittings rather than twisting the bulb until they move. Keep sharp edges away from the wall during storage and handling, and replace a damaged bulb before returning the pump to operation.
