A rubber cable gland can form the flexible interface where a cable enters an enclosure. This product is described as a customizable part that pops into a cutout to cushion the cable against abrasion. Its structure, material, dimensions, hardness and color can be adapted to the opening and cable arrangement.
Waterproof strain relief requires the chosen compression arrangement, cable grip and panel contact to work together. Define those features for the specific cable and enclosure, including the working direction of the lead. A rubber part that protects an edge may still require a separate anchorage to keep a pulling force away from internal connections.
Consider three contact areas during design: the panel cutout, the cable jacket and any hardware that secures the entry. Each needs an appropriate fit without crushing the jacket or leaving the retaining edge distorted. Include the final cable direction, since a lead pulled sideways can load the entry differently from one extending straight out.
Inspect the installation after the enclosure is closed. Confirm that the rubber is seated and that internal wiring has not pulled the entry out of alignment. Any required sealing and pull resistance should be evaluated on that complete arrangement rather than inferred from the product name.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Waterproof strain relief requires the chosen compression arrangement, cable grip and panel contact to work together. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
