Rubber bumpers for glass tables can be molded as corner protectors that cover the exposed corner with a flexible shape. Each protector's internal contour needs to suit the table thickness and corner geometry so that it seats without being forced against a small point on the glass. A protector that merely looks large enough may leave a gap or sit at an unstable angle.
Inspect the glass corner before fitting. Existing chips or cracks require attention to the table itself; covering them does not repair the damage. Select the attachment arrangement for the actual surface and avoid trapping grit between the glass and the protector. The fitted piece should not interfere with the table's supports or nearby moving parts.
Check periodically that it remains in position, especially after cleaning or furniture movement. A loose protector cannot maintain its intended coverage and may detach. The rubber covering can soften local contact, but it does not establish impact protection for the table or prevent all injuries. Replace a torn or displaced piece and address any attachment problem rather than leaving it partly engaged on the corner.
