Rubber pipe grommets with sleeve profiles extend protection into a passage that may be deeper than a thin panel edge. Their body and end profiles should be matched to the depth and shape of the opening so the routed cable or tube remains within a cushioned path.
Identify where the hard edge begins and ends. A sleeve that covers the entrance but stops before a second internal edge may leave a contact point unprotected. ETOL can customize dimensions, structure, material, hardness and color to fit the actual passage.
Check the internal route before inserting the sleeve, removing burrs and debris that could damage its outside wall. Fit it in the intended direction and make sure an end has not folded inward. Then pass the routed component through without dragging a sharp termination against the bore. Inspect the exit after its supports are secured; alignment can change when the rest of the assembly is tightened. Keep the sleeve clear of any clamp that would collapse the protected passage onto the cable or tube.
