Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber shock absorber damper with an M8 or M3 screw connection can be customized for a defined support location. The selected thread must match the mating hardware, while the rubber body's diameter and height must fit the space behind that connection. Both interfaces matter when the mount sits close to a bracket edge.
Check the body clearance after the normal load is applied. A rubber section that clears the bracket before assembly may approach it as the support compresses or moves sideways. Keep that intended movement separate from the thread engagement so the screw does not become a lever that distorts the body.
Align the mounting faces before securing the fastener and use the proper seating arrangement. The thread size does not identify a load capacity or isolation level. Compound choice should reflect actual temperature, fluid exposure, and mechanical duty. During servicing, inspect the hidden side of the rubber as well as the visible face, particularly where nearby hardware could cause rubbing that is difficult to see from the front.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The selected thread must match the mating hardware, while the rubber body's diameter and height must fit the space behind that connection. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
