A rubber pipe grommet provides a flexible interface between a pipe and a surrounding opening. Its custom retaining profile should match the panel, while the center passage suits the pipe's outside size. The assembly needs to support the pipe in its intended route rather than relying on the grommet to correct substantial misalignment.
Check the pipe position on both sides of the opening. A rigid route can push the rubber to one side if the surrounding supports do not line up. The grommet should remain seated through the movement expected in service, with clearance from nearby brackets.
Prepare the cutout and install the retained section fully before completing the pipe supports. Evaluate any vibration-related role on the complete assembly, since the rubber part alone does not establish a reduction level. During maintenance, inspect the passage for rubbing and the retaining edge for displacement. Match the original groove, center size, and material when replacing the grommet so that the intended flexible interface is preserved.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The custom retaining profile should match the panel, while the center passage suits the pipe's outside size. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
