Product Overview

A rubber hose cap covers a compatible end profile, with its receiving dimensions determined by the outside surface it engages. When selecting a hose end cap, account for how the flexible hose deforms during fitting; the nominal size alone does not describe its receiving surface.

Check the engagement length and any clamp, bead or fitting near the end. The cap should reach its intended seat without collapsing a soft hose or stopping against an obstruction. PVC and rubber constructions are separate material choices, and the selected version must suit the exposure and intended closure duty.

Clean the receiving surface and protect the cap's inner wall from sharp edges. Evaluate any sealing or pressure requirement on the complete joint rather than inferring it from a tight hand fit. Inspect the rim during reuse for cuts or permanent enlargement. A cap that still conceals the opening may no longer maintain its original contact, particularly if the hose or cap has changed shape in service.

Material options
Rubber compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. A flexible hose can deform differently from a rigid pipe during fitting, so the cap should be selected around the actual part rather than its nominal size alone.
Custom geometry
A cap that still conceals the opening may no longer maintain its original contact, particularly if the hose or cap has changed shape in service.
Fit evaluation
Check the engagement length and any clamp, bead or fitting near the end.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM identification positioned outside closure contact surfaces.

End Cap Size Catalog

Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.

RSE End Caps

43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
