A rubber pipe plug identified as 12mm needs to be matched to the relevant dimension of its actual profile. The size label alone does not establish whether it describes the inserted section, the head, or another feature. The pipe bore, available depth, and closure shape all need to correspond before the plug is fitted.
For a colored silicone stopper, color can help distinguish configurations during assembly, but it should not replace dimensional identification. Parts with similar colors may have different engagement profiles, and different colors do not automatically indicate different material performance. Choose the formulation for the intended exposure separately from the appearance.
Inspect the pipe entry for rough edges and insert the stopper evenly without forcing it against an internal obstruction. Check that enough of the part remains accessible for removal. If the application requires leakage control, evaluate the selected plug and pipe together under those conditions. A snug fit at an unspecified 12mm feature is not evidence of a pressure rating or compatibility with every fluid.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The pipe bore, available depth, and closure shape all need to correspond before the plug is fitted. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
