A flat silicone rubber washer can be positioned around a shoulder or central feature to create a defined face contact. The locating diameter should let the washer sit flat without being stretched over a step that leaves its inner edge distorted. Its outside diameter needs support where the adjoining surface applies the closing force.
Check the available axial gap and the shape of both mating faces. A washer partly resting on a fillet may tilt before the joint closes, producing uneven compression. Choose the silicone compound for the medium and temperature at that position, and assess any sealing requirement using the complete joint.
Set the washer in place before bringing the opposing part down. Keep the contact faces free of particles that could be pressed into the rubber. On disassembly, examine the inner edge for a persistent ridge or cut that corresponds to the shoulder geometry. Correct that interface where needed rather than replacing the washer with a tighter bore that further concentrates contact at the same location.

Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
