Rubber seal hole plugs close openings through a flexible engaging profile. The custom design should match both the hole size and the depth of material surrounding it. A thin panel and a deep bore may have the same opening diameter but provide very different areas for retention and sealing.
Check where the plug stops during insertion. Its head or shoulder should meet the intended surface without leaving the body only partly engaged. Behind a thin wall, there must be clearance for any retaining portion of the design. In a deeper opening, the insertion length should remain compatible with the available space.
Select silicone or another rubber compound around the actual exposure conditions. Installation should leave the engaging edge intact, without cuts from burrs around the hole. Water sealing requires suitable contact throughout the intended boundary and evaluation of the completed assembly. If the opening is accessed regularly, keep a practical removal area available and inspect the plug after each removal for damage to the section that holds it in place.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
