Match the attachment and installation method
A solid rubber stopper closes its matching opening with a continuous body. The contact region should engage at a defined depth while leaving an accessible handling area outside. Pushing the stopper farther into the opening is not a substitute for matching the inserting profile and can make removal difficult without improving the intended seal.
Check the opening diameter, depth, and entrance condition. Cap versions cover an outer feature and need their own internal dimensions, so the two closure styles should remain distinguished. Select the rubber formulation around the actual medium and operating temperature.
Fit in line with the opening and inspect the exposed edge for folding or trapped material. Where pressure or liquid acts on the closure, assess retention and sealing on the complete connection under those conditions. During maintenance, check the solid center for damage as well as the contact band. Do not pierce or trim the stopper to assist handling, since that changes the closure instead of addressing an unsuitable fit or access arrangement.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The contact region should engage at a defined depth while leaving an accessible handling area outside. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
