Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber shock absorber with M6 screw combines a nominal M6 connection with a custom compliant body. The metal attachment should fit the receiving structure, while the rubber shape needs to suit the intended contact or support load. Thread size and rubber working capability are separate selection details.
Account for the complete fastening stack when checking engagement. Bracket thickness and any fitted hardware affect how much screw length remains available. The connection should seat on the intended surfaces without reaching the end of a blind hole too early. Tighten through the designated metal arrangement rather than winding the rubber body into a twist.
The mount must have enough clearance for its intended deformation after assembly. A nearby washer or bracket can restrict that movement if it overlaps the wrong area. Choose the compound for the local environment and evaluate the completed installation under its actual conditions. During maintenance, inspect the fastening point and surrounding rubber together if the mounted component begins to move differently.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The metal attachment should fit the receiving structure, while the rubber shape needs to suit the intended contact or support load. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
