A custom rubber shock absorber pad provides a compliant layer within a supported contact arrangement. A silicone version used near heated equipment needs a formulation suited to the actual temperature and contact medium. The pad outline and thickness should be selected for its mechanical role and available space.
Establish which faces carry the load and how the rubber can deform. A pad trapped against a narrow edge can behave differently from one supported across a broad area. Any heat related requirement should be assessed at the installed interface rather than inferred from a nearby equipment setting. The molded pad does not by itself establish an electrical heating function. Evaluate the complete assembly under the intended temperature and motion conditions. Keep the contact surfaces clean and check for uneven deformation or unintended rigid contact around the pad. Replacement should preserve the working thickness and support area so the original cushioning arrangement is restored without changing clearances elsewhere in the product.
