Silicone hole plugs close openings through a fitted molded profile. For a closure intended to exclude water, the contact needs to be continuous around its working surface. A top flange can hide the opening while the inserted section remains partly unseated, so appearance from one side is not enough to assess the fit.
Match the plug to the hole geometry and available depth. Check whether a retaining groove needs a particular panel thickness and whether an internal feature limits insertion. The intended grip area should remain accessible for removal without requiring a tool to cut into the sealing edge.
Fit the plug evenly and inspect for a tilted head, rolled lip, or local gap. Remove particles from the mating surfaces before closure. Waterproof performance must be established for the actual plug, opening, and exposure conditions; a flexible material does not create a universal seal. After reuse, examine the inserted section for damage or lasting deformation that may be less obvious than wear on the exposed head.
The plug photos illustrate structure and material only. Our factory at ETOL can develop custom-shaped silicone and rubber closures with the insertion depth and retaining features needed for your opening and removal method.

Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
