Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Rubber caps for sealing need an internal contact band matched to the outside feature they cover. The cap's visible diameter does not define its usable interior or depth, so the complete profile should be compared with the receiving component. Silicone plugs entering a bore use a different interface and require their own dimensions.
Check shoulders, end shape, and clearance around the exposed wall. Select the compound for the actual water exposure, temperature, and cleaning substances. Assess the complete closure for its intended sealing and retention conditions rather than assuming a tight cap establishes every required barrier.
Fit in line with the feature and keep the wall from rolling underneath itself. Inspect the seating edge after surrounding hardware is assembled. During reuse, check for cuts or a stretched opening and clean the contact surfaces before refitting. If a cap repeatedly moves, investigate its retaining geometry and the forces acting on it instead of relying on an improvised external tie to restore an uncertain fit.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The cap's visible diameter does not define its usable interior or depth, so the complete profile should be compared with the receiving component. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
