Product Overview

A custom silicone button pad places one or more pressing surfaces within a shared rubber component. The pad's surrounding sheet helps establish its position in the enclosure, while the keys need room to move independently. The areas between buttons therefore deserve attention alongside the visible key tops.

The sheet should rest on its intended supports without a fold or suspended section pulling a button out of alignment. Internal fasteners and panel ribs must not pinch an unrelated area when the enclosure closes. Assess the fit with all housing parts secured, then press across the group to confirm consistent free return.

Size, color, and marking can be customized for the interface. Legends should remain within the exposed surfaces and correspond to the actual switch positions. During assembly, keep the pad correctly oriented and protect the underside from debris. If a neighboring button moves when another is pressed, inspect the support and clearance between them rather than assuming the rubber material alone determines that behavior.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Assess the fit with all housing parts secured, then press across the group to confirm consistent free return.
Custom dimensions
The sheet should rest on its intended supports without a fold or suspended section pulling a button out of alignment.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
