A silicone cable sleeve extends a flexible protective surface around a cable where it crosses an opening. It cushions the transition from the rigid panel to the routed lead. ETOL customizes the sleeve structure, dimensions, compound, hardness and color to suit the assembly.
Allow space beyond the sleeve for the cable to form its intended bend. Placing a bracket immediately against the exit can force the cable into concentrated contact at that point. The sleeve should guide the transition without becoming another abrupt boundary that the lead must bend around.
Check the sleeve in the final enclosure, including the position of covers and nearby connectors. Feed the cable through without catching the inner wall on exposed terminals, then inspect the opening for any fold created during threading. Secure the route so normal handling does not pull the sleeve repeatedly against the panel. During maintenance, look for a crease at its exit and a loosened retaining section. If either recurs, review the available clearance and cable support rather than treating repeated reseating as routine care.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Placing a bracket immediately against the exit can force the cable into concentrated contact at that point. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
