Product Overview

Silicone elastomer keypads bring multiple buttons together in a common molded piece. This format helps maintain the intended relationship between controls when the keypad is positioned inside an electronic product. Custom size, hardness, color, and identification options allow the operating surface to follow the device layout.

The connections between individual keys need deliberate support. A broad unsupported area may move when one button is pressed, influencing the feel of its neighbors. Housing ribs, locating features, and the circuit arrangement should therefore be considered with the key geometry rather than added after the button faces are finalized.

For a product with mixed functions, shape and spacing can communicate differences between frequently used controls and occasional settings. Evaluate the complete sequence of use, including reaching from one key to another, instead of assessing each key in isolation. The final assembled sample should show clear separation between a resting key and an operated key.

During installation, place the mat without twisting its connecting sections. Check that no key remains caught beneath a housing opening before fastening the enclosure. Routine cleaning should focus on the exposed operating surface while respecting the electronic product's own care requirements.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. A broad unsupported area may move when one button is pressed, influencing the feel of its neighbors.
Custom dimensions

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
