A silicone food grade grommet gives wiring a flexible interface at an opening while keeping the cable covering away from its edge. The material and seat should be chosen around the component's actual contact role in the equipment and the cleaning conditions it will encounter.
ETOL offers custom dimensions, compound, hardness and color. Identify whether the rubber belongs in a separate wiring space or an area that directly contacts a product. Keep the flange accessible enough to inspect and clean without leaving narrow, concealed pockets beside it.
Before installation, remove particles from the cable and opening. After cleaning, check that the entry has not been pushed inward or partly unseated by handling the wire. Use compatible cleaning methods and avoid scraping the bore with sharp tools. If the grommet is removed for service, inspect its underside and retaining groove before refitting. A clean visible face should be accompanied by a clean, intact mounting interface, especially where the surrounding assembly makes that side difficult to see once closed.
