Medical silicone cable grommets with four passages keep several designated routes within one device entry. The populated arrangement is part of the equipment configuration, so each cable should return to its assigned bore after service. Similar cable diameters do not necessarily make the positions interchangeable.
Consider the service sequence before fixing the passage layout. If one cable is disconnected while others remain in place, there must be enough access to remove it without levering the shared rubber body against its neighbors. Connector size and access from either side can determine that sequence.
During planning, consider which connection can be reached first when the housing is opened. A cable assigned to a central passage may be trapped behind an outer connector unless the assembly sequence provides access. Returning the grommet and surrounding supports to their original positions should be possible without twisting a retained cable.
Include the device's cleaning process in material selection. Residue can remain where cable jackets meet the bores or where the outer flange meets the housing. The method used to clean these areas should preserve the selected silicone and the cable coverings.
After reassembly, check all four positions, including any intentionally unoccupied passage. Restore the surrounding cable supports and assess the entry with the final populated configuration. The medical equipment's required contact and environmental conditions belong to the complete design; the common outer flange does not establish that a changed cable arrangement has preserved them.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The populated arrangement is part of the equipment configuration, so each cable should return to its assigned bore after service. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
