Silicone prototype keypads can help evaluate how a rubber button cover behaves as the enclosure is assembled. The cover's locating and perimeter features should keep it in position before and after fastening. A prototype that works while the housing is open may become constrained once all components are installed.
Custom dimensions, color and shape can follow the intended product. Define the internal actuator positions and available travel, then check the surrounding opening clearance. The prototype should include the support conditions that will influence the final button response.
Evaluate the assembly sequence as well as repeated operation. Inspect for a folded edge, a sheet pulled diagonally or a button resting partly compressed beneath the cover. During use trials, include presses near key edges and transitions between neighboring controls. Keep the mating regions clean so debris does not distort the assessment. If the enclosure geometry changes, repeat the relevant fit check before finalizing the molded part. Observations from the assembled prototype should guide changes to support, clearance or rubber geometry as appropriate.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The prototype should include the support conditions that will influence the final button response. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
