A Buna-N rubber damper with steel parts combines a selected elastomer body with rigid features used by the surrounding assembly. The steel and rubber regions need to be developed together so the fastening load reaches the intended surfaces while the compliant section remains available to work.
Consider the installed alignment before applying the operating load. If the adjoining parts pull the steel features out of position, the rubber may begin service already distorted. The mounting layout should locate the component naturally, with clearance for its expected deformation. The body shape and the exposed steel geometry both influence the space needed around it.
Buna-N selection should account for the actual media and temperatures at the component. Include the metal surfaces when reviewing environmental exposure rather than assuming the rubber alone defines suitability. During inspection, look for movement between the mounted assembly and its connection points, together with damage near the material transitions. A similar outer rubber shape is insufficient for replacement if the steel interface or installed separation differs.

Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
