Custom sealing covers and plugs provide different ways to close an opening. A cover engages the outside of a feature, while a plug is developed around an internal seat. Choosing between them depends on accessible surfaces, available depth and how the closure will be removed during service.
Silicone rubber construction can be customized for either arrangement. For an external cover, consider the length of surface available for grip and any nearby shoulder that limits insertion. For an internal plug, define the receiving bore and the intended stopping position. The two approaches should not share dimensions merely because they close the same nominal opening.
Evaluate the closure with neighboring components installed. A cover that is easy to grasp on a bench may become inaccessible once a bracket is fitted, while an internal plug may obstruct a feature behind the opening if pushed too far. Select the material for the actual exposure conditions and inspect the mating surface before assembly. Any required sealing result should be assessed using the selected closure geometry and complete receiving component.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
