A rubber bumper for furniture feet should be developed for the direction of movement expected at the floor or opposing surface. A stationary contact and a foot repeatedly dragged sideways place different demands on the rubber and its attachment. The actual surface finish also influences friction and marking.
Custom dimensions, material, hardness and color allow the bumper to follow the furniture base. Define the supported contact area and installed height so the furniture rests evenly. The attachment should remain secure without an exposed edge that catches during movement.
Evaluate the complete furniture item under representative use on the intended surface. Keep the contact faces free of grit and inspect for uneven wear or a bumper that has shifted. If one position wears mainly at an edge, review the leg angle and stance rather than simply choosing a harder compound. During replacement, compare the remaining feet so the new component restores the intended height across the set. Rubber contact should be assessed in the actual arrangement rather than treated as universally slip resistant.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
