A black rubber cable grommet separates a routed cable from the edge of a small panel opening. The custom retaining profile should fit the panel thickness so the rubber stays seated on both sides. Matching only the outside diameter can overlook a groove that is too narrow or too wide for the panel.
Inspect the front and back of the opening during fitting where access permits. One flange can appear neat while the opposite edge is folded inward. The grommet should surround the cut edge continuously before the cable is placed in its final route. Avoid pulling the cable sideways to make up for an incorrectly positioned opening.
Black is the identified color for this version, with material and dimensions selected for the application. The completed panel and cable interfaces determine dust coverage. During maintenance, check the areas hidden by the cable bend as well as the visible face. If the rubber has moved, correct the retaining fit or routing force before returning the assembly to use.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The custom retaining profile should fit the panel thickness so the rubber stays seated on both sides. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
