A rectangular cable grommet gives a nonround opening a shaped rubber interface. The straight edges and corners must both match the cutout. A part that sits closely along the sides can still lift at the corners if the panel radius differs from the molded profile.
Measure the finished opening in both directions and include its corner shape and thickness. ETOL can customize dimensions, material, hardness, color and structure. For a watertight-oriented entry, evaluate the cable contact together with the full perimeter rather than checking only the broad flanges.
Begin seating at a suitable edge and work toward the corners without overstretching them. Keep the cable arrangement centered so one side of the rectangle is not continuously pulled inward. After fitting, inspect each corner for a tucked lip or a gap beneath the flange. Recheck those points when the wiring is secured and after the surrounding enclosure is closed. If the entry has distorted, correct the opening or routing arrangement rather than forcing a corner down beneath adjacent hardware.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A part that sits closely along the sides can still lift at the corners if the panel radius differs from the molded profile. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
