Thick black rubber bands use a substantial elastic section that should be selected around the intended fitting and resting conditions. Cross-section and loop size both affect how the band stretches. A high-tension description does not establish a rated force or make the band suitable for every restraint duty.
Check the shape of the object or assembly the band will surround. Sharp corners and local projections can concentrate strain even when most of the loop remains lightly stretched. The chosen silicone or other rubber formulation must suit the actual environment and contact surfaces; black color does not identify that formulation.
Evaluate the band in its defined application before relying on its retention. Fit without twisting the section unnecessarily and keep it clear of cutting edges. During reuse, inspect the inner contact face as well as the visible outside. Replace a band with a notch or permanent shape change rather than continuing to stretch it until the remaining material can no longer maintain the intended loop geometry.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
