A threaded silicone plug closes a hole using a custom screw profile. Thread dimensions, body length, head shape and hardness can be developed for the receiving component. The threaded section provides an engagement arrangement, while the design must also define where the actual closure contact occurs.
Match the thread form and pitch as well as the nominal diameter. The available depth should allow the plug to reach its intended seated position before its end encounters an obstruction. A head or shoulder may create a separate contact surface, so include that geometry when establishing the overall length.
Start the plug in alignment with the opening and turn it using the intended grip. Unexpected resistance near the start can indicate misalignment or debris rather than successful engagement. Avoid forcing the soft thread through a damaged receiving profile, and keep its grooves clean before installation. Select the silicone formulation for the contents and operating conditions. During removal and reuse, inspect the thread crests and sealing area for cuts; a visibly damaged profile should be replaced rather than tightened further to compensate.

Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
