Product Overview

A rubber shock absorber can be custom developed around the structure and movement of the supported assembly. Material, dimensions, hardness, and color are selectable features. The part's geometry must work with the way force reaches it, so the load path should be established before choosing the rubber section.

Consider the direction of movement and the available clearance. A component loaded mainly in compression may need a different shape from one that deflects sideways. The attachment and neighboring hardware should allow the intended motion without creating a rigid contact that bypasses the rubber.

Evaluate the complete installation under its normal operating conditions. A loose rubber part or hardness value cannot establish the vibration or shock behavior of the assembled equipment. Check how the load is shared if multiple components support the same base.

During fitting, keep the rubber aligned and use the intended fastening method without twisting the body. Inspect after installation for interference through the allowed movement. Routine maintenance should include the flexible region and attachment points, looking for cracks, loosening, or a lasting change in position. Replace with the required geometry and compound so that the original support relationship is maintained rather than simply fitting the nearest available size.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: A component loaded mainly in compression may need a different shape from one that deflects sideways.
Custom profile & fit
Custom support geometry and mating size, developed around the intended attachment and the component it carries.
Assembly considerations
During fitting, keep the rubber aligned and use the intended fastening method without twisting the body.
Design check
Check how the load is shared if multiple components support the same base.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
