Grey rubber mounts can match an industrial device's finish or help distinguish a particular custom configuration. The color should remain separate from the mechanical specification: dimensions, compound and attachment determine the mount's working behavior. Similar grey parts may serve different load or exposure conditions.
Compression molding allows the profile to be developed around the receiving surfaces. Define the installed height and deformation direction, then check the space available around the rubber. The selected material should suit local heat, fluids and cleaning conditions.
Evaluate the completed device with all support points installed. Inspect for rocking, uneven compression or rigid contact near one mount. During production and service, maintain clear part identification so appearance is not used as the only selection method. Keep the visible surface clean with a compatible process and examine the less accessible attachment region for damage. If a replacement is needed, restore the intended geometry and formulation along with the color. A cosmetic match alone does not establish the same support condition.
