Match the attachment and installation method
M3 M4 M8 rubber mounts offer threaded attachment formats for a custom vibration or shock isolation arrangement. The named sizes identify fastening choices; the rubber body dimensions, material, and loading arrangement still need to be selected for the equipment. A larger thread does not independently establish the working capability of the completed mount.
Match the thread to the receiving hardware, including its pitch and usable engagement depth. The surrounding bracket thickness and any required washers or nuts affect how much of the connection is available after assembly. An apparently similar screw length can seat differently when the mounting stack changes. Check that the metal connection secures as intended without reaching the end of a blind hole prematurely.
The body geometry determines how much rubber is available to deform and where that movement occurs. Evaluate the mount in the intended direction of loading and leave room around its flexible section. Where several mounts support one component, their final positions should maintain alignment without one location carrying an unintended share of the load.
For assembly control, keep the selected thread versions clearly separated. A mount that starts into an incorrect receiving thread can damage the connection before the mismatch is obvious. During maintenance, inspect both the fastening condition and the rubber-to-metal region. Replacement should preserve the complete specified configuration, including the body dimensions, rather than match only the M3, M4, or M8 designation.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. An apparently similar screw length can seat differently when the mounting stack changes. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
